Hello to everyone. I m trying to find a way to power the red controller with a poe solution. Is there any solution? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for your reply.
But in the controller side what connector may i use.? Only the ethernet? It is enough? Or i will need adapters from classic jack to micro usb?
It is not possible to power the controller directly through the Ethernet jack. (see ยง4.4.1 of the documentation)
So, on controller side, you'll need a PoE splitter with a Cat cable for LAN and, of course, a power cable (jack to mini-USB).
You can use your switch as injector if it is compatible with IEEE 802.3af.
Is there any ready (jack to mini-USB) adapter or should i make one on my own???
From experience, for System Red your best bet for all three of your stations would be to stay with what is recommended... a 'dedicated' low noise supply to each controller.
and avoid any possible 'loops' or ground problems, as it were. For What this is worth...

Thanks for your replies... I was trying to find a low noise place but there is no power there. So i was searching for a poe solution.
About the "low noise" adapter do you have any suggestions?
