Hi,
I would like to bring to your attention that we are discussing lightning  Lightning  strikes or flashes here but definitely not "strokes"

Of course we are!
A lightning flash consists of one or more discharges called strokes.
A strike is when a stroke or strokes hit something, with the more common Cloud-to-Ground strokes, that would be an earthbound object.

On the other hand, your post could simply be a little bit of trolling to stir stuff up... ... Lightning
Mod.
@Nickmey: The scientifically correct term is "(lightning) stroke". Several other persons from universities confirmed that. We often also use "strike" because everybody knows that word - but it is not always correct.

Oh, I see!
Thanks for your in-depth reply, always helps to point at something seemingly false in
order to become correctly informed.
