Very good work! But one has to note that in this paper ALL lightning is taken into account, including intra-cloud and cloud-cloud lightning. Lightning detection systems like blitzortung are only sensitive for cloud-ground lightning. It might be interesting to check if the hotspots for CG lightning are identical to those for total lightning activity.
In addition, checking for positive and negative CG lightning seperately would also be very interesting, but there we have to wait for an upgrade of the analysis software (for polarity and strength)

You're most welcome. I think perhaps its a rough estimation of coverage with only 80% accurate. Please correct me if I'm wrong
