How do I set it to my home location? It seems to randomly appear in different locations.

Regarding what ? Your detector ? the map view ???
Please be a bit more precise in your question if you would like a precise answer 

When I look at the map and try to put the blue dot indicator on my stationary home position for reference, I can't seem to lock it on to my home. I tried to turn it on and off again to reinitiate it with no luck. What am I missing?
