GPS issues (station 1479) and also not able to access the mentioned thread.

there you go, you should now have access to the inner part. Happy reading
I have two older stations (1885 and 2861) with controller v19.3 and v19.5. Both seem unhappy with GPS antennas. I have changed antennas several times, but to no avail. After several weeks, "GPS no signal" appears. Firmware is 10.1 and 9.2
Is it time for new controllers? I m kind of out of ideas, and buying new GPS antennas is a bit tiresome, especially since changing it on 2861 means I have to travel several hours in order to change it.

Please advise.
If you update to latest firmware (11b3 and not sure why it wasn't yet renamed final sine it is running smooth). Your GPS modules will probably run smooth.
This firmware kinda 'solves' the issues in almost all cases by deporting timestamp serverside.
Thank you for the replay.
However, I have not seen any changes in firmware pertaining to GPS/GLONASS, and after flashing to 11b3, GPS signal is still missing. Too bad.

I guess I have to buy new GPS antenna. Unfortunately, I have not seen any difference between $5 of $35 antennas. I suggest buying the one with as short cable as possible, since there is a loss of signal in cable, and the longer it is, the loss is greater. In my experience, if the cable is longer than 2-3m, antenna must clear view of sky. 0.5 to 2m, maybe it will work under the roof. In my case, either some rodent eats through the cable or it stops working after 2-4 years.

Patch antennas are more or less the same (23dB gain typical) but I have not tried quardifilar helical antennas yet. QFH antennas are often used on drones, patch antennas usually have magnet or sticky tape on the bottom.

Eh, sorry people... it looks like some rodents chewed the cable of the GPS antenna.

Basically, I had a spare and now one device is working. I am off to update another one.
