The box is already at a 45° angle. If you hang it horizontally you can align it with north/south and east/west.

hi, i went with https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0G5Y5VFDS and short cables with flexible ends.

yes that would be a easy answer. I will try to make a box like this with other angles. I tried to avoid sections that can leak water inside, thats the issue i need to overcome.

Im already on a loop-antenna design so stay tuned on that.

ok but you can avoid this if u use silicone on critical areas... to cover all directions horizontal is more important i think

Guys, do not over complicate things. Your H field does not have to be outside. I can be any where in the house, attic, garage, even in your underground basement.

It does not matter how well you seal your box, it will suck in moisture due to the normal heating and cooling of the day, which will then condense on the inside of the box and PCB.

Now, remember before you decide where you want to mount your H Field, you have to find that quite spot with the least amount of 'noise' by using an AM radio tuned to the lower frequencies, of station and listen to the amount of noise while walking around. Attics are great for that as it is a large unoccupied area with ample space to mount you H field. Where you think is the best place for you, might be the worse spot for the H field. I made that mistake when I first started.

Yeah youre right with that! The intention behind my outdoor was to seal it from rain etc. normal heating/cooling-cycles are hard to overcome but at least this design does not directly spoil the amp itself (even if it is relatively cheap to replace).
I dont have any attic to mount the sonsor and also do not have any balcony but a nice garden to place such things.

Outside way away from any source of noice (in my case my homelab etc.) is best but needs at least little protection against the weather.
