You should try to build your own loop antennas.

Great! I would love to see a complete step by step video on how to that :-)

Or a proper detailed instruction would be great instead of https://docs.lightningmaps.org/hardware/...multi-turn , with some blurry pictures.

Where can i find such?

Since this question is already answered in a different post, here is my 20 euro antenna:

1. I bought 11 m of 2×0.75 mm² copper speaker wire.
2. I separated it into two individual wires.
3. I made a frame from three 80 cm wooden battens, crossing at the centre at 90°—like a Czech hedgehog or “anti-tank cross.” and made some cuts at the ends to guide the wire. Also drilled some holes at the end for some tie wraps that hold the wires in place.
4. I wound each wire three times around the frame, creating two loops at 90° to each other.
5. I connected one loop to H1+/H1− and the other to H2+/H2− on preamplifier PCB 23.1.
6. I left both solder jumpers open.
7. I connected the preamplifier to my System Blue Mini and left the controller on its automatic settings.

Both channels are working, with an almost identical noise floor of approximately 13–14 mVpp.

It may not be the most elegant antenna ever built, but it was cheap, simple, and it works!

Alidigitaly, in reference to: 6. I left both solder jumpers open.

From the documentation of the original Blue station:-
The H-field pre-amplifier is connected with a shielded twisted pair cable (FTP, STP, S/STP, or
S/FTP) to the main board. This cable should not be placed next to the network cable. Please
keep a distance of at least 10 cm. The cable may have a length of up to 30 meters.
If you use loop antennas, than you should close (solder) the jumper for the corresponding channels at the back side of the board.

I would imagine the new Blue Basic might be the same.

BTW, great job on your first antenna build, well done.

You're gonna have to figure it out from here. Your station IS connected... just need to configure on your operator's page... login main website ...

I've enough validation to upgrade you to participant, however... welcome aboard!

Thanks Cutty! :-) I have not received my password or activation mail yet so i was kind of confused there..
But i see it as well now!
In the web interface settings it says "Web Interface Authentication: Not activated!" and i confused that with blitzortung.org.. silly me.

I hope I can fill in some more details there soon!

And it is settled! Whoop! :-)
Also got a confirmation the station is running well!
So weekend succeeded as planned.
Including a complete rearrangement of all the electronics on my attic.
One happy lightning detector amateur!  Big Grin
