Way back, when System Red was all the rage I expressed my interested in becoming a node operator but could never seem to find out how to get a detector system. Green came and went as did Blue and now I see that we have Blue Basic.
I've never found a way to order before and I cannot find a way now. I have, once again, registered my interest in giving one of these detectors a home in the far north west of England, where detectors are few and far between. I have all the technical competence and more to build and run a system. I even have an SMD workstation and flow soldering oven, so I could work with a bare board if necessary. I live in an electrically quiet rural location with low latency, fast broadband.
It must, surely, be possible to get one of these systems but the question is... HOW?

I've wanted one forever, as well. I think I just bought one today. It happened like this:
Go to this page:
www blitzortung org/en/Documents/Order-List.pdf
Read it, decide what you want, and send an email to
blitzortung@gmx.org
and tell Egon what you want and what you expect it to cost.
I got an email back saying that everything was in stock and I could paypal him the money.
I paypal-ed him the Euros, my credit card was charged,
and I got an email back with a tracking number.

I have, in the past, entered my email into the cover_your_area.php form page.
I don't know if that had anything to do with my buying one today.

It'll be interesting to hear what happens...

I did that at least twice as well. Nothing ever happened, not even an acknowledgement. It's almost as if they don't really want any more participants...

And you will hear about it, because I am the chatty type.
The tracking number I received is from DHL, and the timeline shows that the package was
very promptly scanned and taken into one of DHL's 14,600 PackStation locations in Europe. It further been moved from the Packstation into DHL's international shipment network on "Tu, 10.06.2025, 09:53, Germany".

Hi,
I saw this thread 3 days ago. I already have two Red (777 & 887) systems and a deactivated Green. I have always wanted a Blue, but when
my name came up on the original waiting list, I was not in a position due to comitments to take it up. I emailed Egon yesterday. 11/6/25 and formally ordered a blue mini system and paid via PayPal. The DHL tracking info came through this evening. I must now go and check my wiring and antenna. I look forward to hearing your adventures,
Chris

That's terrific, Chris!
Guess I had better get an antenna or two built.
