However, I have not seen any changes in firmware pertaining to GPS/GLONASS, and after flashing to 11b3, GPS signal is still missing. Too bad.
I guess I have to buy new GPS antenna. Unfortunately, I have not seen any difference between $5 of $35 antennas. I suggest buying the one with as short cable as possible, since there is a loss of signal in cable, and the longer it is, the loss is greater. In my experience, if the cable is longer than 2-3m, antenna must clear view of sky. 0.5 to 2m, maybe it will work under the roof. In my case, either some rodent eats through the cable or it stops working after 2-4 years.
Patch antennas are more or less the same (23dB gain typical) but I have not tried quardifilar helical antennas yet. QFH antennas are often used on drones, patch antennas usually have magnet or sticky tape on the bottom.
