Hi,
I think many of us do not want to shut down
www.lightningmaps.org however the data presented by this service should be as up to date as possible to be credible. From what I see many stations are presented in the wrong locations and do not display current statistics. Maybe it would be possible to contact the developer and negotiate an update with him even if it requires a donation or taking over some of his duties.

Hello everyone,
I'm not responsible for lightningmaps.org, but I'd still like to know which stations aren't displayed at the correct positions?
Can you give me one or two examples?

Hi Egon,
Thank you for your interest.
Even my station 2527. I moved it to a new location 10km away, the coordinates provided by
https://www.blitzortung.org/ are absolutely correct, but the actual location on
https://www.lightningmaps.org/ is not even close (including the name). At the same time, the statistics for my station are not generated correctly on lightningmaps.org.
From what I have noticed, there are also missing statistics for many stations (probably for the same reason), but it is not known whether these missing statistics are not caused by long-term inactivity. I think that first it would be necessary to query the database for a list of active stations and then add their coordinates from
www.blitzortung.org for correct display.
