My name is Matias and I live in Evijärvi, South Ostrobothnia, Finland.
I have been interested in the Blitzortung project for a long time, and I would very much like to become a participant by installing a station at my home. There are only a few Blitzortung stations in Finland, especially in my area, so I hope my station could help improve the lightning detection coverage in this region.
I already operate an Ambient Weather WS-2000 weather station with a lightning detector, but I would also like to contribute high-quality lightning detection data to the Blitzortung network.
My first and preferred option would be to purchase a complete, fully assembled, tested and ready-to-use **System Blue** station (the newest hardware version).
If any trusted Blitzortung member builds or sells complete System Blue stations, I would be very interested in buying one.
I can pay immediately using **PayPal**, and I am also willing to pay for international shipping to Finland.
If purchasing a complete station is not possible, I would appreciate some guidance:
• Do new participants normally purchase all components themselves?
• Where is the best place to order the electronic components?
• Where can I obtain the official PCB files?
• Which PCB manufacturer would you recommend? I live in Finland, so recommendations for European manufacturers would be appreciated.
• Which hardware version should a new participant build today?
The station would be installed at my home in **Evijärvi, South Ostrobothnia, Finland**, with a stable Internet connection and UPS backup. My goal is to operate the station continuously for many years and contribute reliable lightning detection data to the Blitzortung network.
