I plan on moving within the next few months from Colorado to Washington State. Other than taking down at one location and setting it up in another, is there anything I should do?

I wondered the same thing when I bought a secondhand System blue computer. Only four weeks ago did I begin.
Upon installation, my station 2488 began picking up signals from North America and South America; I later reported that it was also picking up signals from, and providing data for, the Asian area.
One day, it was there. If your station makes a detection from a specified area, it will be added to that area automatically.

I recently moved my station and changed the city name to match. It has been several days now. The database seems to show the correct GPS coords and name, but lightningmaps.org still shows the old station name and location on the map. Do I just wait or am I doing something wrong?

No, nothing wrong... as stated in this forum many times, Lightningmaps.org just doesn't follow the official Blitzortung database and Tobi simply has not had time to update the Lightningmaps platform. You should always depend on the Main Blitzortung site. Tobi hopes to upgrade LMO when all the changes are in place on BT this year.

Yikes!
Thank you for explaining it yet again.
