Whether to go for the two channel MINI or for the 3+1 channel BLUE depends on two factors:
- If price is important and it has just to work, go for MINI.
- When you are very interrested in experiments (differente antenna configurations, optional high pass filter, using the signals in parallel for other purpose than for Blitzortung), go for BLUE.
Do you need three H-field antennas? No. Is it better to have three? Slightly.
Is E-field mandatory? No. Some stations operate only with E-field, for my personally E-field is no good.
Possible configuration with three ferrrite rod antennas (image from system BLUE): https://www.blitzortung.org/en/Menu_Imag...tte_60.jpg
Possible configuration with two ferrrite rod antennas (image from system RED): https://www.blitzortung.org/en/Menu_Images/red_2b.jpg
This is just my personal opinion.
