Are some strikes not detected? |

The reason I ask is that this evening there was a near direct strike at my house - simultaneous flash and bang. Many electronic devices blow and a 15 amp breaker tripped in main panel.
But the map only shows 2 strikes near Jeannette PA and they were over 1 km away. That would be 2-3 second delay between flash and bang.
That simply is not possible. There was a strike that was virtually on my house.
Next door neighbor ran out of their house, they saw the flash and it came from the direction of my house.
Could that strike have been missed?

Hi,
New to the board and your sites. Been really enjoying lightningmaps.org. Maybe a silly question but do you have a legend for your maps. Example, I see several icons of airplanes on the map but nowhere so I see an explanation of what they mean or why they are there. Are they actually small airfields of some sort I am not familiar with? Thanks!

GPS data via tcp/ip |

Hello,
how feasible would it be for System Blue to optionally serve GPS data via tcp/ip? I've recently set up a Raspberry Pi for ADS-B reception purposes and it would nice to have access to GPS data but I don't want to have GPS antennas all over. Since System Blue already connects to the network AND has a GPS receiver, it would be a very useful option to have.
If the developers are too busy for this kind of thing, I would gladly implement such a feature.

Detecting in other Zones? |

Is there any way to be able to detect strikes in other zones in the world (Oceania or Europe). I'm just curious how far away I can detect strikes. Hawaii is the most distant location for me and I usually detect strikes there when they occur. Thank you all in advance .
