blue ferrite / loop antenna connection?
Posted by: MTO-Mareuil - 2020-10-20, 08:22 - Forum: Hardware, Software, Lightning Physics - Replies (1)

Hi,
can you tell me what is the best connection on the blue preamp between loop antenna or ferrite antenna? it has 3 inputs per antenna E1-E2-GND

Ferrite = E1-E2 and GND what is the correct connection?

Loop E1- E2 -?
Loop E1- GND -?
Loop E2- GND -?
(after soldering the bridge under the pcb)

Thank you for bringing me some details.

kind regards

Patrick Smile

I have tried to look at a few posts that have been moved and I can't seem to view them. It seems to suggest I don't have the permissions. One for the IT team to look at.

  Station 2828 Running
Posted by: mendip_defender - 2020-10-11, 18:24 - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

Well I build mine the other weekend and have had it running for a bit now. Could do with some advice on how to interpret the data I am getting so that I can improve on my results.

Not get a lot of contacts so far but I haven't mounted anything in a final location.

I am looking to design a build a holder for the Ferrite rods, I have 3 of them and was wondering is it best to lay them in a triangle as seen on some of the manual shots or mount them at 90 and the 3rd at 90 vertically? I have a laser cutter and plan to use that to cut out the brackets but before I design them has anyone else already done designs.

  My E-field antenna setup
Posted by: TomVal - 2020-10-11, 07:06 - Forum: Hardware, Software, Lightning Physics - Replies (3)

Hi, got my E-field antenna setup yesterday.

I clear coted the circuit board with a couple of clear varnish for extra protection against the elements. I protected the connectors with masking tape during the spaying.
The antenna is attached to a antenna pole on a steep high ground close my house.

  Invitation response
Posted by: pr06 - 2020-09-29, 15:15 - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

Hi,

I recently received an invitation to participate.

I have tried to respond indicating my purchase requirements by replying to the email b...tung@ gmx . o__ but that immediately failed

554:554-gmx.net (mxgmx001) Nemesis ESMTP Service not available
554-No SMTP service
554-Reject due to policy restrictions.

Is this the correct email address to use?  I've seen another thread here ( https://forum.blitzortung.org/showthread.php?tid=3311indicating that that person replied directly an individual.

Apologies if I've missed something.

An alternative reason for failure is that I have responded from a different email address ( I registered a couple of years back using an email address from which I can no longer send ).

Thanks.

Participation accepted, then no more responses

Hello

On August 14th, I received an email from Egon Wanke offering me to participate in the network, after I believe 2 years of waiting.
I replied the following week accepting with joy and specifying the material I wanted to buy and the payment method I chose. I also bought some supplies to install my future system blue.

I didn't get an answer to my first email. Since then, being a bit worried, I sent two other messages to Egon, to this day after a month and a half, still no answer!

What the hell is going on? I find this quite disappointing!

  getting system on line
Posted by: drsparky - 2020-09-26, 18:39 - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

I think I have everything ready and have completed registration but I seem to  be missing something to put it on line.  I get this message" This email already exists in our database. Please assign the station to your existing account!" What is my next step?

Chuck
