  Eigene Blitze MYBO
Posted by: Hoelters - 2018-02-10, 16:07 - Forum: Non-English - No Replies

Hallo,

Posted by: Hoelters - 2018-02-01, 18:38 - Forum: Hardware, Software, Lightning Physics - Replies (1)

Hallo Tobias,

Posted by: Egon - 2018-01-29, 16:14 - Forum: Non-English - Replies (4)

/Egon

  SBAS satellites
Posted by: elythomaslumber - 2018-01-22, 19:42 - Forum: Hardware, Software, Lightning Physics - Replies (2)

Have activated GPS & GLONASS and also SBAS yesterday. I can see always just one SBAS satellit.
The number is always red and there is no receiving level (dB) shown.
The position of my GPS-antenna is not very good. Is that the reason for that only "red" satellite number or is that set by default for SBAS satellites?

Cheers

Hartmut

28th of Jan 2018... to give myself the answer Big Grin ...
After some days I noticed that from time to time the satellte number of the SBAS changes from red to black and a receiving level was displayed.
So that means my GPS antenna has not the best position but since I added GLONASS there are always a lot of satellites in view and tracked.

lightningmaps.org station - last signal spectrum plot different
Posted by: VA_LM_Blue - 2018-01-19, 14:39 - Forum: Website, Maps and Applications - Replies (2)

Greetings,

I updated my Blue to firmware 8.4 last night.  Last night I also noticed on my
lightningmaps.org - station tab - Last Signal window that the signal spectrum is now
dominated by the electrical system 60-Hz and I'm sure the first few
harmonics too.  The real signal spectrum is hardly visible near the bottom of the plot.
It appears to be a spectrum scaling change somewhere perhaps.  The spectrum also appears similar on
several other Blue stations pages.  Several Red stations spectrum I
checked appear normal and not dominated by the 60-Hz signal.  Not a big deal but
something changed, perhaps only for the system blue stations?

  Uploading Firmware! Please wait...
Posted by: Tecsol - 2018-01-19, 07:32 - Forum: Hardware, Software, Lightning Physics - Replies (2)

Hi,
I have a mystery trying to flash new firmware to my Red system. (Station 1323)
The LCD display reports I am running 7.4, and that 8.4 is availalbe. I have downloaded 8.4 via the button on the web interface, and this file is stored on my local computer. After pressing upload, the page is stuck showing"Uploading Firmware! Please wait..." Half an hour later, I refresh or select another web tab. I rebooted the detector. There was no other sign of the firmware actually being written to the system, and no checksums displayed.
The web interface now shows I am running 8.4 (even after connecting in from a different computer and browser), but the LCD still says 7.4!  The station information shown by Lightningmaps.org also shows firmware 7.4.
Any suggestions appreciated!
Cheers,
James Dean

  Time settings in email alerts

Hello all,
I have email alerts active and wonder about the time stamp tat
Is given in the mail. It seems that the system reports about
Lightning that occurs outside the "examined" window.
How can that occur?
Example  below.

Cheers

Housing for System Blue (laser cut/3d print)
Posted by: higherperspective - 2018-01-08, 01:13 - Forum: Hardware, Software, Lightning Physics - Replies (35)

Hi all.

Just got my System Blue built and ready for use, however, I currently don't have a housing for the unit.

I have a laser cutter and access to a 3D printer.

Are there any laser cut files (I will make out of acrylic) or 3D print files available for System Blue so I can make my own housing?

If so, could you please point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance!
