I'm new here, trying to send an PM (email) to another user, but the forum keeps saying that its not allowed?

Does my account still need some kind of activation besides the activation email? I'm trying to get in contact with a specific member.

I've noticed that many times when a thunderstorm moves through, I will see the lightning, hear the thunder (upto 15 seconds later -- i.e. lightning was with 3 miles), but nothing shows up on the map. 10-20 miles away there can be strokes plotted.... so there is a sufficient density of stations around me.

I read elsewhere that cloud-cloud strokes are difficult to detect, but is that really the explanation here?

I'd love to be able to watch the map and the expanding sound front and have it be right!

Good evening, for a few hours, lan's LED started to blink slowly and I can not access the administration page any more.
The power LED is on, the led mode is on, the network flashes, the gps flashes
What can I do
Please help me

I decided to try mu old project green system.  It powers up, lights cycle, blue led flashes every second for the gps.  I started Serial Tracker and logged on.  Any suggestions?


This is what I get on the Serial Tracker screen

 RS232                            green light

Password/Username        green light

Reciever                           red light  no data please check your settings

Status                              red light

There are any another way to feed my App ? For example some Push service ?

I've noticed that when the iOS app opens, strikes show correctly but when zooming in, they disappear upon redraw.  Has anyone else see this behavior?

Hi all,

Just got my System Blue up and running south of Houston. In the next couple of months I will be relocating it to a remote area of west Texas in the Big Bend region. There is a definite hole in coverage out there that I hope to fill. 

BIG thanks to mike6158 for the build and advice!!!

With the power switch off at the controller, when I plug in the USB power supply, all the LEDs seem to go thru test-blinking, then the Power and Mode LEDs remain on, just as they are when I turn on the power switch.  The red LED on the connected E-Field pre-amp board is also always lit.
Confused -- shouldn't the power switch shut off everything?
