Additional video on "Red" web interface uploaded...
Posted by: Donald.Froula - 2015-04-07, 02:26 - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

I put together a second much longer video (55 minutes) explaining most aspects of controlling the system using the web interface. It is up on YouTube at:

http://youtu.be/Vjy7iZr-u_Y

You might want to watch this one in small chunks! I took the time to say what I felt needed saying...

Be sure to watch on a hi-def setting. It is in 1080p.

Best,

Don

I put together a 30-minute introductory video on the Blitzortung "Red" system hardware. It covers the basics of the controller, H-field amplifier and ferrite antennas.

Lightbulb mobile system - does it make sense?
Posted by: misha - 2015-04-02, 17:34 - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

Hello,

I wonder if it makes sense to build a station located on a vehicle?

Last year I have been on expedition on polar circle in Russia - near Barents Sea. Having such station could significantly increase accuracy for that region. Are GPS coordinates updated often via network, or station while being registered is pinned to place? This summer I plan to go to Ukraine for a trip, where coverage is better, but still poor.

What are your thougths on it?

Hello everyone,

A year ago i started using blitzortung lightning detection and it worked fine.
Now 2 days ago i started getting problems. The person who wrote the php. unfortunately passed away recently
and it seems i can't find anyone who can help me with this problem.

Here's what is wrong:
i can see the map but it doesn't show any lighning strikes anymore.
I've cleaned the websites cache, updated cronjob, but nothing seems to work.

Anybody with php knowledge that want's to help me?
Thank you everybody!
